Relationship-Based Professional Dog Training in Asbury Park, NJ

Something shifted. Maybe it was gradual, maybe it happened overnight, but the dog in front of you no longer feels like the one you thought you were bringing home. The walks have become work. The greetings have become unpredictable. And the behaviors you once brushed off have started to shape your days in ways you never expected.

You are not failing. You simply have not been given the tools, the language, or the guidance to lead your dog through it.

Canine Karma Training NJ offers private, in-home instruction and immersive board and train programs, each designed around your life, your home, and the dog in front of you. No group classes. No one-size-fits-all approach. Only thoughtful, expert work that meets you exactly where you are and moves you toward the relationship you always believed was possible.

Meet Tatyana

A former veterinary technician turned professional dog trainer, Tatyana Sulis brings over a decade of hands-on experience with dogs. Her background spans routine wellness, critical medical cases, and the full spectrum of behavioral work in between. That foundation shapes everything about how she trains. Health, nutrition, and behavior are never separate conversations in her practice; they are facets of the same one. And beneath every program, every session, and every interaction lies a single, uncompromising objective: the most extraordinary relationship possible between a dog and their person.

Based in Asbury Park and serving clients throughout Monmouth County, Tatyana guides owners in cultivating that relationship from the ground up, calm, confident, and grounded in genuine trust. She welcomes dogs of every kind, from spirited puppies in need of structure and direction to the nuanced, demanding cases other trainers decline to take on: reactivity, anxiety, fear, and aggression. Her methodology is rooted in canine psychology and the kind of clear, consistent communication a dog can truly understand. It is the language that transforms behavior at its source rather than managing it at the surface.

Because in the end, the relationship is everything.

About Tatyana

Tatyana is the founder and head trainer of Canine Karma Training New Jersey, where over a decade of experience across veterinary care, professional training, boarding kennels, rescue work, and daycare environments has shaped a uniquely informed approach to canine behavior. Having worked hands-on with hundreds of dogs across every breed, size, and temperament, she brings both depth of knowledge and genuine intuition to her practice.

As a reward-based balanced trainer, Tatyana specializes in private in-home training, puppy foundations, behavior modification, complex behavioral cases, and board and train programs. She also brings a nutrition lens to her work, recognizing that what a dog eats profoundly shapes how they feel, learn, and behave.

Her philosophy is holistic and relationship-centered. Tatyana regards dogs as spiritual companions who guide us toward leading with love, clarity, and presence. Her role is to cultivate the kind of trust between dog and owner that makes meaningful, lasting transformation possible. This includes navigating behavioral challenges with care and, where appropriate, partnering with clients to reduce or eliminate reliance on behavioral medications.

Tatyana holds advanced credentials as CPR Certified professional, Fear Free Certified trainer, AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and Certified Pet Nutrition Coach. Whether you are welcoming a new puppy, working through a nuanced behavioral concern, or exploring one of her signature training programs, Tatyana offers a refined, compassionate, and deeply personal experience for you and your dog at every stage of the journey.
